On behalf of the SABRE Group, HCII worked onsite with Swissair (www.swissair.com) to define the functional requirements for their electronic commerce project. Swissair wanted to sell airline tickets, cargo, and other products and services on the internet in real-time (transaction processing links to all backend system within Swissair). HCII designed all connections to Swissair backend systems. HCII designed the tools that Swissair used to build their electronic commerce and web site. HCII worked with Swissair’s marketing, sales and Atraxis (their information technology (IT) company) to develop the system. HCII worked with Swissair to design their payment and fulfillment systems, using both the SET protocol and Secure Credit Card Transactions via the SSL protocol.
