On behalf of the SABRE Group, HCII worked onsite with Singapore Airlines (SIA) ( www.singaporeair.com ) to define the functional requirements for their electronic commerce project. SIAs goal was to sell airline tickets, cargo, and other products and services on the internet in real-time (transaction processing links to all backend system within SIA). In order to fulfill SIAs electronic commerce functional requirements HCII architected and designed the following:
HCII was involved in answering the request for proposal from SIA, marketing and designing a solution to SIA, and writing the functional requirements for the product. HCII helped SIA select local vendors for development work that could be done locally in Singapore. HCII worked with SIAs acquiring bank, Citibank Singapore (www.citibank.com/ipb-singapore), and VISA to define the functional requirements for the electronic payment systems. HCII also helped design the payment systems including the implementation of the SET protocol and user interfaces (wallets) to SET.
