Project Raffles was born from the need to bridge the gap between existing Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and Product Marketing Groups. Raffles is a tool and methodology that enables marketing and sales people to implement electronic commerce marketing ideas rapidly while staying in conformance with the existing and changing IT infrastructure. Raffles empowers marketing people to easily and rapidly develop and implement marketing campaigns and selling systems directly in a high level business language, avoiding the need to translate these ideas into low level, complex computer languages. Unique in the industry, HCII has a different approach to the development and implementation of electronic commerce solutions. While most companies focus on single, direct channel electronic commerce applications such as HTML/browser applications, the Raffles Project goes far beyond - leveraging existing backend systems to interface with all communication channels for the future of both direct to consumer and business to business e-commerce.
