Wahoo (9278 bytes)Lawrence Hutson (view bio) has led the architecture, design and development on some of the largest online travel projects in the world. His background gives him provision to serve both the marketing and technology sides of these projects.

Since 1988, when he put his first company on the Internet, Lawrence has designed and implemented electronic commerce systems, software products, networks, and protocols for some of the largest companies in England, Singapore, China, Switzerland, Australia, Barbados, Brazil, Sweden and the USA.

Lawrence holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of North Texas.

Lawrence resides in Sarasota, Florida with his wife of 27 years and their four children.

  • Conceived and designed telecommunication products in the late 80s and early 90s

  • Designed and implemented some of the precursors for Internet protocols that later became Internet standards, e.g. IMAPI

  • Designed GTE’s worldwide email infrastructure and user interfaces

  • Architected, designed, and launched one of the largest brands on the internet, Travelocity, the first Internet online travel booking system released on the Internet

  • Designed a 81country Internet/Intranet Electronic Commerce solution for The International Organization for Migration based in Geneva, Switzerland

  • Designed and architected technology to enable co-branding and joint marketing on the Internet

  • Designed Internet applications that use SET (Secure Electronic Transactions) and other electronic payment solutions for global organizations in Switzerland and Singapore

  • HCI International has designed and implemented a product for Palm PCs and hand held PCs that encompassed graphics, animations and sound, communications, and Internet connectivity on the Windows CE platform
